A Tiny Prototype I Built in an Hour

What I've Done Today I challenged myself to make something in under an hour. No pressure, no expectations, just a quick creative sprint to see what would happen. I ended up putting together a tiny prototype: a character that can move, jump, and interact with a single object. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it reminded me how refreshing it is to build something small without overthinking every detail. What surprised me most was how quickly the momentum kicked in once I started. The moment the character moved the way I wanted, I felt that familiar spark again. It’s easy to forget how motivating that feeling can be when you’re buried in bigger projects or long-term goals. I might expand it later, or I might not. That isn’t really the point. If I’m being honest about my starting line, I don't have a revolutionary concept or a polished prototype ready to go. I am still very much a student of the Godot engine. Most of my time right now is just a cycle of writing code, watching it break, and digging through documentation to figure out why I’m wrong. But that is exactly why I’m doing this. The Hidden Beauty of the Unknown There is something special about being a total beginner. I have no idea what this game will actually be. It might be a platformer, a puzzle game, o...
